Empowering Florida  Families

of children recently identified  with a hearing difference

Who Are We?

The Parent Empowerment Program (PEP) is a collaborative early intervention initiative organized by Florida Early Hearing Detection & Intervention and Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind’s Parent Infant Program. PEP offers a unique experience for families of children who have hearing differences by providing research-based information and resources. Mentors, Role-models, and Parent Leaders bring boldness and energy by empowering families to connect with each other and the community. Supporting professionals who work with these families leads to better family and child outcomes. Professional development and technical assistance for providers is therefore one of our high priorities.
